WHO WE ARE…
Mersea Boating Lake has been an idea for the Sunnucks family who own the land for the last 30 years, so it is really exciting for the lake to now be open for use.
William Sunnucks, who grew up on Mersea and learnt to sail there, said: “It’s good to see such a range of activities on the water, and the demand for open water swimming has been a special surprise. I am grateful for the input and support from local people, and I especially appreciate the way they are enjoying the journey rather expecting perfection on day one.”
Our lake house is an exciting addition to the lake, providing changing facilities and a refreshment area, with outdoor seating with a view of the lake.
